Bouncing Babies
For lap sitting babies from birth on up. Rhymes, songs, and playtime for all lap-sitting babies with caregiver. Wednesdays at 11:00 AM, March 29-May 10 (No class on 4/12) Online registration.

Mother Goose Time
For children ages 1 ˝ - 2 ˝ old with caregiver. Finger plays, rhymes, songs and stories. Tuesdays at 11:00 AM, March 28-May 9 (no class 4/25) OR Thursdays at 11:00 AM, March 30 -May 11 ( no class 4/20) . REGISTER FOR ONE SESSION ONLY Online registration.

Toddler Time
For children ages 2 - 4 with caregiver. Finger plays, rhymes, songs and stories. Tuesdays at 10:00 AM, March 28 - May 2 OR Wednesdays, March 29 - May 3 at 10 am. REGISTER FOR ONE SESSION ONLY. Online registration.

Tales for Tots
3 ˝ to 5 year olds, kindergarteners welcome. Mondays at 10:00AM, March 27 - May 1 AND Wednesdays at 1:30 PM March 29-May 3. *Children are encouraged to attend this class without a parent or caregiver.* No registration required.

Music and Movement with Lori Cohen
For children 1-5 years old with caregiver. Tuesdays at 6:30 pm, March 28-May 2 AND Fridays at 10, March 31-May 5 There is no registration required.

Stories-and-More
Kindergarten -2nd Grade. Come hear some great stories and make a related craft to take home. Three Tuesdays at 4:00 PM, April 4, 11, and 18. Online registration.


SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Arbor Day Celebration
Come celebrate Arbor Day at the Hat Library and learn some tree care tips while we plant an American Elm. Russell from Almstead Tree Service will talk about the diversity of trees here at the John C Hart Library. This program is open to all ages. Saturday April 29 at 11:00. NO REGISTRATON IS REQUIRED.

Hart Kids Book Club
For 3rd - 5th graders. Love to read, chat, and snack? Invite your friends for a great time and discuss awesome books! The library will have copies of the book to borrow at the Circulation Desk. Meetings: Tuesday's, April 25th Out of my Mind by Sharon Draper. May 23rd, and June 20th books to be announced. 4:30PM to 5:30PM Tuesday April 25. Online registration.

Teacher in the Library Grades K - 6th
Free after-school homework help for elementary school students will continue to be available through our Teacher-in-the-Library Program. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:45pm to 7:45pm except during school holidays and closings. Homework help is for students in grades K-6. There is no registration required.

SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Grand Day!
For ages 3 and up with grandparents. Enjoy some wonderful music and entertainment with talented performer Jennie Sunshine! The show will be followed by make-your-own-sundaes. Sunday, April 30 at 2 pm. Online registration.

Coding Made Easy
For children in grades 2-5. Come learn essential coding skills using Scratch software and Keyboard command from a senior girl scout. Children need to bring their own laptops and have access to a Gmail account. Sundays from 2 to 3 PM, March 14-May 7. No class April 16. ONLINE REGISTRATION BEGINS ON WEDNESDAY, February 15 AT 10:00 AM. MUST HAVE A VALID HART LIBRARY CARD. *REGISTER ONLY ONCE FOR ENTIRE SERIES* ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS AND FILL OUT A SEPARATE REGISTRATION FORM IF REGISTERING MORE THAN ONE CHILD.

Spring Stories

Catapult Challenge
Medieval history and science rolled into one fantastic hour of fun! What could be more engaging than building catapults and launching them toward a target…. a castle, of course! Tuesday May 9 4:30-5:30 for children age 8 and up. Register online.

Truss Us, It's Sturdy
A truss structure is considered the strongest building structure because of the triangular shape it uses. In this hands-on STEM lesson presented by the Westchester Children's Museum, students will explore why certain shapes are stronger than others and how they distribute load and withstand force differently. Using what they learn, students will build and test the strength of their own truss bridges. Tuesday May 16 at 4:30-5:30. for children age 8 and up. Register online.

Wind Tube Challenge
The fun begins when your junior inventors use odd materials to create a flying object and experiment with the Westchester Children's Museum's fantastic wind tunnel. This is a playful and inventive way of exploring airflow, drag, symmetry, turbulence, air resistance, and gravity. Tuesday May 23 4:30-5:30 for children age 8 and up. Register online.

Positive Discipline for the Preschooler
Westchester Child Care Council, presents Positive Discipline for the Preschooler "Is it my child or do all children behave like this?" Learn techniques for managing your child's behavior and how to create a climate that encourages positive behavior. Saturday May 27 at 11:00. Register online or call 914-245-5262.

Space Exploration
Students discover through interactive challenges presented by the Westchester Children's Museum. They will learn how astronauts live and work in space, as well as be encouraged to experiment, problem solve and think creatively to explore the challenges NASA scientists and engineers faced as they created technology meant to function in an environment very different than Earth's. Tuesday May 30 4:30-5:30 for children age 8 and up.

Yoga For children ages 5 and up
