Residents 14+ can use their Yorktown library card to reserve the makerspace's Podcasting equipment for up to two times per week . The Library has equipment for up to four people to work together at a time (for more information see Tools section below).
For clarification or assistance with our Podcasting equipment, feel free to reach out via email to reference@yorktownlibrary.org.
How to Sign Up
Time slots for this equipment will be available Fridays from 2pm-4pm: view and book available time slots at this link.
A patron can book a time slot one month into the future and can book up to two times per week. Upon the first use of the Makerspace, patrons will need to fill out a Makerspace User Agreement agreeing to the Makerspace Terms of Use upon entering the makerspace; this will be a google form that only needs to be filled out once and will be kept on file.
Before you come to an Open Maker visit be sure to:
- Have a general idea of what you intend to record
- Please look over this How to Get Started video on Rode's Youtube page
- When you arrive for your reservation, check in at the reference desk
- Patrons arriving more than 15 minutes late for their reservation may lose their reservation(s) for the day. Repeated failures to show up for reservations (without canceling) will result in Open Makerspace privileges being temporarily revoked.
- Makerspace staff is only available to help with set-up and to answer basic questions
