Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reserve a pass from the library?
Please call the library at (914) 245-5262, x 227. Passes are for Hart Library cardholders 18 years or older and have no outstanding fines.
How do I pick up my pass from the library?
Visit the Adult Reference Desk on the day you are scheduled to pick up your pass. If the pass isn't picked up by the end of the day during opening hours, the reservation will automatically be canceled.
How long can I borrow a museum pass for?
Passes are due back three days after you pick them up. For example, if you want to visit a museum on a Tuesday, you can pick up the pass on Monday and return it by Thursday.
Can I pick up a museum pass without making a reservation?
Yes, patrons can check out a museum pass at the reference desk without a reservation if the pass is avaiable and not reserved.
What if after I reserve my pass there are no appointments available on the museums’ website?
If you are unable to schedule an appointment with the museum, you can call the library to reschedule your library pass reservation.
How do I return a pass to the library?
Passes must be returned at the Adult Reference Desk during library opening hours. Returning the pass in the book drop, video drop, or any other WLS library will incur a $30.00 fine. Late fee is $10.00 per day.
